Murder Suspect Among US Marshals’ Most Wanted

Murder Suspect Among US Marshals’ Most Wanted

On July 4, 2019, at 8:56 PM, deputies responded to the 15700 block of FM 812 regarding a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered PEDRO ESTEBAN, 38 of Mexico bleeding profusely. Deputies administered first aid and CPR until medical personnel arrived. Life saving measures were ultimately unsuccessful and Esteban was pronounced deceased at 9:52 PM.

Evidence and witness testimony led detectives to pursue ROGACIANO ABARCA- CASTRO (Alias: EVELIO RAMIREZ, Nickname: ROGA) of Mexico, as the suspect. Description: Hispanic male, 5 ft, 3 in tall and 135 lbs. black hair, brown eyes. He is the brother-in-law of Pedro Esteban.

The US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is assisting in the search and it is believed Abarca-Castro is still in the United States, but likely no longer in Texas. Abarca- Castro is now included on the Marshals’ Most Wanted list and his description will be broadcast nationally in an effort to locate him. A warrant of arrest for Murder (1st Degree Felony) was issued July 5, 2019.
