TCSO Arrests Suspect in Aggravated Sexual Assault

At approximately 4:30 am on June 9, 2018 a woman walking through the Churchill Crossing apartment complex in the 14100 block of Thermal Drive was attacked. The suspect asked the victim for money then pulled her to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her, stabbed her then stole her cell phone as he fled the area on foot.

TCSO sought the public’s help identifying a suspect based on the description provided by the victim. In addition, DNA collected from the SAFE (sexual assault forensic exam) kit was sent out for analysis and a CODIS (Combined DNS Index System) match identified QUENTIN TREMEL GOFFNEY

Evidence indicates Goffney pawned knives several days after the date of the assault.

Goffney was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail, charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault. Bond has been set at $350,000.
