National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes law enforcement-community partnerships. By hosting a National Night Out block party with your neighbors, you make your neighborhoods safer and take a step toward preventing crime in the future.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office Celebrates National Night Out in order to enhance the relationship between neighborhoods and law enforcement. Participation involves anything from turning your porch light on to hosting block parties, cookouts or other community events with safety demos, youth events, and visits from law enforcement representatives.

It is a fact, that neighbors' watching out for each other is an excellent crime prevention tool. This annual event is a great way to get out of the house, meet your neighbors and interact with law enforcement representatives!

How Can I Participate?

On Tuesday, October 6th from 5:00 - 9:00pm, there will be block parties occuring all over Travis County. If there aren't any parties in your neighborhood, we encourage you to turn on your porch light to show support.

*Registration has closed*

We cannot guarantee a TCSO deputy will attend due to the nature of calls at the time; however, we will do everything we can to schedule a TCSO deputy to particpate.

*NOTE: Due to COVID-19, we will be practicing social distancing as well as wearing masks and will only attend block parties following the same safety measures. We also encourage you to have hand sanitizer/hand-washing station if you plan to serve food.

It is recommded you also register your block party with National Night Out's online registration; they can provide you with a tool kit and other resource info.
