Our Physical Readiness Test (PRT) is required for OFFICER CANDIDATES ONLY who have an active application in process with TCSO Human Resources.
The PRT requires a candidate to complete a timed 500 meter row at 50% or above according to their gender. A medical waiver will be required prior to taking this test. The minimum time is 2:08 for a male and 2:27 for a female.
Candidates will be allowed three attempts to pass the PRT before being disqualified for one year from the officer hiring process.
