Incident Report

We will only release the portion of the incident report that is public information. Public information only contains the type of offense, date/time of offense, name of officer who responded and any items reported stolen or damaged. The public record will not contain any portion of the officer’s narrative.

You may request your report in-person, by mail, fax or email.

The price for a report is $.10 cents per page, which can be paid by exact cash (in-person) or a check or money order made payable to Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

If your insurance company requests a copy of a report, the public record contains the information needed. An Open Records Request will provide you with a detailed report, which contains the officer’s narrative.

Your written request should include your name, address, and a detailed description of the records you are requesting. When you submit your written Open Records Request, ask for the full and complete report or the portion that TCSO is allowed to release.

Requests for information must be made in writing. Once you have submitted your request, please allow approximately 10 business days for processing.
