We offer Ride Alongs with our Patrol Division to offer citizens an opportunity to observe the day-to-day duties of a deputy.
You may choose between our East and West Commands. You can view our jurisdiction on our District Map.
You must be at least 18 years of age. A routine criminal history and warrants check will be performed on all applicants prior to the Ride Along. No person with a felony or Class A Misdemeanor conviction may ride along.
Any person with a Class B or C Misdemeanor conviction may be rejected at the discretion of the Shift Supervisor.
When you go on a Ride Along, you’ll accompany a deputy during their normal duties. Deputies will respond to calls for service. It’s possible that a call will involve physical danger and serious risks. While every effort will be made to ensure your safety, deputies’ first responsibility is to carry out their duties. In emergencies, you must immediately and without question comply with all orders and directions given to you by deputies.
Once your request has been approved, a patrol supervisor will contact you to schedule the Ride Along.
