Bias/Hate Motivated Incident Report

A bias or hate motivated incident is an act of verbal abuse or a conditional threat by another that you feel was motivated by a prejudice against you based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. The act does not rise to the level of a crime - crimes such as damaging or stealing property, intimidation, a threat that doesn’t require you to do something to make them harm you or you were assaulted.  

How Do I Report A Bias/Hate Motivated Incident?

If the incident occurred within Travis County and outside any incorporated city that has a police department (review our District MapAND is criminal in nature please File a Report or call 512-974-0845, Option 3.

If the incident is NOT criminal in nature, but you wish to report it to the Austin/Travis County Hate Crimes Task Force for statistical purposes, please Submit a Report.
